SO im getting this error on a friends computer and I cant seem to get it fixed.

Ive done the "fixes" that i found online including using windows fix tool.
Also went in and stopped the program from loading, deleting the software distribution folder, and then reloading the .dll files in cmd and still nothing

Im at kind of a lost here on what I can do next and why I cant get windows update to work?

I have a feeling you downloaded something else. I'll post images of the steps you need to take when I get home.

Here is what the program looks like when opening.

1. Open the program click on the repairs tab up top.
2. click on open repairs on the bottom
3. Only have #17 checked for repair window update then click on start repairs on the right.

He would have more issues if the date and time was off.
Ah, wasn't sure since he was diagnosing someone else's computers. All of the HTTPS cert errors would drive me insane too, but a lot of people just click next/accept :p
