Cannot find network

This happens more often in the past week. When I turned on my Asus X205TA, the network icon has a red star indicating it is not connected. When I clicked on the icon to see if there is any network (there are a few indeed), the panel said no network available.

I went into Device Manager and found that the Network Adapter (Broadcom 802.11abgn Wireless SDI0 Adapter) has a yellow exclamation. I tried updating the driver and it said the driver is updated. But the yellow mark remains. I tried uninstalling it and then reboot. It was reinstalled, but the yellow mark was still there and there is no network found.

I messed around with it by reinstalling the driver (I forgot exactly what I did) and finally the icon's red star vanished and it found networks to connect.

I am not comfortable with the hit or miss.

What do I need to do if it happens again next time?

That's very helpful.
I'll keep it in mind next time it happens.

I think the cramped keyboard might have lead to hitting the wrong key.

Thanks.

Also, if you right click on the device under device manager and then click on properties you can get a description of why there is an exclamation on it in the first place.
