How to play Blu-Ray?!

I've tried everything. I've tried to figure out VLC but I couldn't. I tried all of those "codec packs" for WMP but none of them worked. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a BDROM drive, right? How can I play a Blu-Ray on my PC? Please help, thanks! :)

Install the software that came with the drive.
I don't have it. The drive was installed by the previous owner of the PC and he lost the driver disc. All I know is that my BD drive looks like this:

Unfortunately, unless you happen upon a "Retail" version of the Blu-Ray drive, they will never include Blu-Ray playing software.

Nowadays, when buying a Blu-Ray drive, not only do you have to pay for the drive, but you'll have to pay for software to play the Blu-Rays as well. Thankfully I know of only one free option. VLC Media Player.

You will have to do a little modification to the program to get it to work properly, but it does work, I can attest to that.
