When I started up my computer with my monitor(that I had tested before) there was no POST beep, nor any display on the monitor.

Any ideas as what to do? My hardware is as follows:

Processor: AMD Athlon X4 860K Quad-Core 3.7 GHz Socket FM2+ 95W AD860KXBJABOX

Motherboard: MSI A88XM-E45 V2 FM2+ AMD A88X 8 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX

Hard disk drive: Western Digital Red NAS Hard Drive WD20EFRX 2TB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

Power supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 B1 750W Modular Power Supply 110-B1-0750-VR

Casing: NZXT Source 210 S210-001

SSD: Crucial BX100 120GB SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive - CT120BX100SSD1(not installed yet)

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC312800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9S-8GXM

Also when I first turned on my computer, all the lights in my house went dim for a second.

Thanks

Sounds like you have a short somewhere. Build everything outside of the case and see if it works. Did you use the standoffs between motherboard and case?

I did use standoffs, and I tried building it outside of the case, with the same results. I ordered a new motherboard do you think that's right?
Thanks

All you can do is replace parts until it works. Did you try resetting the cmos?

Yes I reset the cmos, with the same results as before. I will try replacing the motherboard now. Is there anything else that I might be missing?
Thank you :)

Most probably you have an electrical problem. I would strongly recommend not installing a new motherboard until you test your power supply because the last thing you want to do is fry another board.
-is your wall outlet faulty?
-is your power supply faulty? (Power supply tester)
-is the power supply fan working? If not, just get a new power supply.
-is your power supply inadequate to your systems needs?
-if your new power supply fan still isn't working then one of your components has a short so just hook up one component at a time starting with just the motherboard then going to one card and drive at time (powering off your system each time)

Read the post. PSU confirmed good. Also many PSU fans don't operate unless under considerable load.

I replaced the mobo with a brand new one, hooked everything up, still wont work. Could it be the PSU? If so can I test it?
Thanks.

PS: This is a brand new build.

Unhook everything not needed to boot the system such as hard drives, dvd drives, keyboard and mouse. Does the computer post?

Check to make sure you don't have any bent pins on the processor. If not then there is either a short somewhere or bad processor or psu is bad.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS as the one released earlier this year updated VGA support. http://download.msi.com/bos_exe/7721v51.zip

Also ensure you have the latest chipset drivers http://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/amd_chipset_drivers_w10.zip

Try starting in safe mode with networking and update the above either manually or with this http://download.msi.com/uti_exe/LiveUpdate.zip

How can he do this when the computer won't even post?

The psu IS NOT confirmed good. OP said the lights dimmed when he plugged it in.

Didn't even notice what CPU he had when I read his post. He doesn't list a video card. The Athlon 860K isn't a APU. If he doesn't have a video card he will get no video, LOL.
