Computer Does'nt Turn On

Hi,
I just got back from vacation and my computer wont start. When I left for vacation, I think I left my computer on by accident(though I could be wrong). While I was gone, the utility company turned our power off for repairs. When I got back my computer started up like it was asleep and had everything opened to where it was before leaving for vacation. Since my parents wer messing arounf with the breakers because parts of the house had no power, I turned my computer off so it would get damaged. Once my parents were done, I turned my computer back on but my monitor never received a signal. My computer just sort of ran, the lights and fans were working and a noise I didn't really recognize though it sounded like an HDD was present. I wasn't sure why it wasn't showing a picture but I let it run for around an hour in case it was just taking a while to boot up. After an hour, and still no image, I decided to press the power button again to turn it off. It turned off almost instantly and I haven't been able to turn it back on ever since. I press the power button and absolutely nothing happens. I tried everything I normally do, make sure it plugged in all the way, make sure the plug is providing the power but everything seems fine. My mouse which usually has its lights on when my computer is off doesn't have any power either.

Does anyone know whats wrong? This is a custom PC i built and Im getting a little anxious. If you have any ideas I would really appreciate it!
Thanks

Open side of the case to see if the motherboard light is on. Sounds like you may have a bad power supply to start off with. Other than that, its hard telling. Power failures can take out most parts such as memory, hard drive, motherboard.

Looks like you'll have to start by replacing the power supply first or take your system to repair place and have them fully diagnose whats wrong with it.

Try disconnecting power and data cable from HDD and see if you get anything on monitor. Do you have a dedicated video card or using onboard video?

I disconnected my hdd and ssd and it did the same thing. I just noticed my graphics card fans are not running.

YAAAYY I figured it out! Resetting the CMOS did the trick, I just forgot to plug my video card back in after resetting all the connections.
Thanks everyone for your help!
