Honestly i would really want to upgrade the case but could someone explain to me what my risks are? I really dont get it.
Well the motherboard you may be using may be a custom/proprietary shape, meaning that mounting it inside a "aftermarket" case, you may not have mounting holes in the typical/standard motherboard mounting locations. Essentially the biggest risk here is that it won't align correctly. I can't imagine it being far enough off that you couldn't get the majority of the mounting screws in place, however there are always risks of discharge and etc when you end up leaving one of the holes empty.

Honestly, I can't see it as really being that big of an issue, but others can chime in as well. I have taken my friends Lenovo pre-built machine motherboard and stuck it in a Zalman Z11+ case and one or two of the holes didn't align. We simply didn't screw those in and it's ran fine for the past 4 months or more.

So there will be no issues fitting the motherboard into any case? And i looked through some of the cases but honestly i cant decide on which one to buy. Any suggestions? Would anyone recommend any nice cases?

Thanks for all of the replies ;)

Basically there is a possibility your current motherboard will not fit or be compatible with a standard ATX motherboard layout. Often times OEM machines utilize proprietary hardware and might not play nice with 3rd party/aftermarket components!

Do all 3 support my motherboard?
Yep.

His motherboard's support manual and specification website list it as Micro ATX form factor. Would that not imply that anything supporting a mATX motherboard would work?

So is there a possibility that it will not fit ? Both of you are saying something different now...

The motherboard will most certainly fit, and mounting it should be a breeze. I'd imagine given that the size spec is listed at mATX, that it's standoff/screw hole locations are in the mATX format.

There is a small chance that a few of the holes may not align properly, but that wouldn't keep the motherboard from being able to be mounted into the case. Even then, a few missing screws should cause no issues, as I mentioned before.

My advice, is if you want to put it in a new case, then buy a new case. I can't imagine it being so far off that it just doesn't fit. A missing screw or two should cause no issues whatsoever, and you'll then have a nice case to upgrade stuff in for later.

In short, if you want a case, get a case.

I like two of the ones you mentioned, but i really like the nzxt s340 Thoughts?
It's a really solid looking case. Metal construction, nice fan options, color in a few places, room for cable management. Only downside is Newegg is currently out of stock of it.
