I'd look for a different board. That Z170 board has a bunch of old PCI slot configurations. Look for mobos that exclusively have PCI-E slots.

You'll also need a cooler for the 6700k.

As for Windows, if your previous copy of Windows is a retail version (not OEM), then it can be carried over. If it is a OEM key, you have to buy a new one.

You don't actually have to buy a new copy of windows if you have an OEM key. You just call microsoft (look it up their numbers for your country are in Google search) and they will reactivate your OEM key on your new board. Works every time. I've done it several times. Sometimes the OEM key will just work on a new chipset without any effort.

I know the standard wisdom is that you need retail or a new oem key but in practice I have found this not to be true. I don't think the techs over in India care as long as they get a pay check.
