Turning off 'quick start'

A while back, I was having problems with the computer starting up, then stalling out with a small blue, four-paneled window on a black screen. I would then turn the machine off, then turn it on again, and all would be fine.

Someone (John?) suggested going to a certain file and disabling 'quick start' or 'auto start', or something like that, and it worked - computer came on first time, every time.

Well, I'm there again, but can't remember the sequence to disable like before.

Any ideas?

Are you talking about the BIOS Fast Boot option?

Was it in a thread you started? Just go back and look through your posts.

I looked through my past posts yesterday Cromewell, but didn't see what I was looking for. I may look again.

I'll check on the fast boot option. That might be it.
