But reverting to factory settings would format the partition and re-install Windows anyway, so I would have a fresh start from a software point of view.

Slow Laptop - what have I not tried?

A laptop I have had to look at is slow and locks up constantly for up to 2-3 mins each time.

Initially, I thought this was a software problem and as there were not many files I restored the laptop...

I have also tried disabling on board graphics, D.O.C.P and updating BIOS.

The 4gb is showing as hardware reserved.

I think I need to check my CPU pins.
