Down with Apevia. Get a Corsair HX620. They are made by Seasonic and are amazing PSUs. A little pricey but you get what you pay for in them.

EVGA seems to be really cool about letting you mod your equipment a little bit. I would've bought an aftermarket and not RMA'd. EVGA will still normally replace your gear if they decide that your mod wasn't incompetent and it wasn't the cause for the failure.

Yeah, grab 'em. CC aren't expensive anyway, so no real loss. Kinda like buying YL DSL12 fans, at 3-5 bucks a pop who cares if they come dead? I always buy an extra part if they are so in expensive, which is what you may want to do here.

I hit my CPU limit at 3.55ghz but I was staying around 45-48c under load after 8 hours running orthos. I bought a 120 x 38 Silenx rated at 60cfm to go on it. It works quite well and helps keep the air flowing.

I have the Ultra 120 and LOVE it. Keeps my proc very cool. I have a 60cfm fan pushing.

This might be a dumb question but I never bothered to find out until today and I couldn't find much online. My motherboard has dual ethernet ports. In Windows only the top one will work to get online. In Linux Ubuntu however, only the bottom one will work. Why is this?

I already fixed it. I just replaced the IDE cable and it worked fine. I really liked that black Asus cable too. :P Oh well, works just the same with an ugly grey one.

My P5B has a feature that will let you reset your settings without having to do all the mess with the jumpers and/or battery. Turn off your machine and unplug it, let it set for a while, then reboot. It should tell you "Overclocking Failed" and it will let you enter bios.

It's just been my experience from reading that the regular P5B doesn't clock as well as the DLX. There are exceptions to every rule though right? :) Oh yeah, update your bios man, you've done that right?

My Samsung DVD drive won't recognize things if I put in media of any type. I just get either the "CD-Rom" or "DVD-Ram" when looking in My Computer. If I try to right click to explore it, My Computer locks up and doesn't respond. I can reboot the machine and the disk will be recognized, but...

I think Doom 3 is more scary than FEAR. I think Doom had better audio and more unpredictable events(the first time through). FEAR did have its moments but I felt I knew a few were coming, which was not the case with Doom 3. FEAR is a much better game though.
