there is not an ethernet cable running from my router to the extender. However, randomly it decided to work today after resetting everything again. Hopefully it will work from now on.

alright I now have the credentials to log into the router to change settings etc. I still don't understand what you mean by the extender needing network info

I'm meaning I have the password for the wifi. So I can connect on my phone etc. What I was meaning was I cant log into it to change the settings. (Where you type 192.168.0.1 into your browser etc)

It did before, but the owners have now bought a new modem/router that is the different model and I also no longer know the user name and password to it. (I've tried admin ; password) Also probably important to note that I've tried it with another extender a NETGEAR EX2700, it worked one time...

Hi, I am trying to set up an extender on the wifi at my house; however, the extender keeps giving me this error message every-time I try to connect. I've tried resetting the extender and the router/modem but I still can't get them to connect. Any ideas on what to do? Extender is a linksys ea6500...

Finally figured out what the issue was. It was from my wifi adapter, unplugging that fixed everything.

So I upgraded from window 7 to 10 recently. However every-time I click next or anything on the following screen, it crashes. There is no power wheel or anything to hit to get out of this. So what do I do? :/ Restarting does nothing either. I've tried 4-5 times. If I spam alt-tab it will freeze...
