Storing Credit Card, Bank Info and Passwords?

WHen you say "Key" you are referring to what is basically a password??? And, you have it set up so that for each password you have to enter this key (password)? Just a little confused, however, I really like this idea so far and feel as though it may fit my needs also.

Storing Credit Card, Bank Info and Passwords?

I think that I have figured out how I can do this while maintaining a high level of security. I am going to create a file and not identify that file as being one which contains credit card, bank and password info. I will give it some random name. I will then encrypt the file and then it can...

Storing Credit Card, Bank Info and Passwords?

It is not that I need it on my computer, however I do need it when I am on the go. Hence the reason I need to be able to access it on my Ipad, cell phone and a computer with internet. I would think that there has to be some way to keep all of this information safe. Thanks

Shut down computer or put into sleep?

I am running Vista. I use my desktop throughout the day - sometimes for an hour and then I do not go back to it for a few hours. I have been shutting it down each time I walk away for more than an hour and then starting back up when I come back to use it. Is it better to use Sleep? How often...

Error when copying to Ext HD?

I am copying photos from the laptop to the Ext HD. When I look into the folder on the Ext HD all of my photos are there. However, this error message makes me think that I am missing something and therefore not creating a true backup of the folder in the event that my laptop crashed. Any thoughts?

Should I go from a PC to Mac?

Hello: I have always gone the PC route. This is what I use my PC for 95% of the time: MS Word, Internet, photos, and to sync my Palm 755p smartphone (which is soon to be replaced by a blackberry). I am tired of the virus issues, crashes, freeze ups, ect, ect that I have experienced...

Should I convert from FAT32 to NTFS?

Is this the only drawback to FAT32? All of the photos on one of my computers is 10GB. However, I have them broken down into sub folders which are about 2GB. With the current setup (FAT32) I will not be able to backup the entire folder with 10GB at once and will have to backup individual 2GB...

Should I convert from FAT32 to NTFS?

I am new to Ext hard drives and just purchased a WD 250 GB portable drive which uses FAT32. I am not too familiar with the differences between FAT32 and NTFS but I think that I remember reading where NTFS is better. I am going to use this to backup 20GB of photos, music and maybe 10 GB of...

Using 2 computers with 1 Ext Hard Drive

So would I basically plug the Ext HD into computer 1 then copy and paste the files onto the Ext HD? Then plug into computer 2 and copy and paste the files onto the Ext HD? Any way to have the files/folders from each computer on the Ext HD separated so that I know which computer they came from?
