I don't think so, I can't see how they can possibly audit the world record attempt unless they only count official downloads.

Excellent thank you, Well crucial are much better value than dell so I think we shall be going with them. However out of interest some stores list the RAM as PC-4200 instead of PC2-4200, all other specs are the same. Is there any difference or is it just a querk on the preference on the sellers...

Well once I've got some very important coursework done in the next few days I will give it a good spring clean. My case has a CPU Duct cone thing {see an image of one below} I'm tempted to try and see if removing it makes any change, also I reckon the filter is clogged up.

    CPU Heat troubles

The temperature issues I have noticed have been steadily increasing over time. When it was new I remember seeing low 50's for idle and 65 for burn. now its 68 for idle and 85 for burn, So its most likely just age and the gradual decrease in effectiveness of the heat sink and fan. I'm afraid I...

    Hardware Help!

    Hardware Help!

Replacing or removing the faulty ram will prevent any more new problems. However as software has been loaded in to the potential corrupt RAM sometimes you will find that software installed on your PC has been corrupted requiring a reinstall or in my case a Operating system re-install. When my...

    Can anyone help me?

Yes that should be it. Make a back-up of all your data you want to keep, then put the disc in and depending on how it works, reboot with the disc still in drive and the recovery software should kick in.

    Can anyone help me?

I still don't understand, you have to use some software to format a hard drive, it is not a manual operation you can do by hand! Unless you wish to take a hammer to your drive. You can format a hard drive or partition in windows, find the drive in "My computer" and right click on it and click...
