actually mine came with a sticker that said ALL OF YOUR EARS ARE BELONG TO US or something, and I'm a sticker whore so it's on my case somewhere. :good:
but that's all I can think of as far as positives
You might notice the difference but it is definitely usable, I'm posting this from my atom based (single core) netbook and am running firefox open office xfire and vlc (though VLC is idling), adding another core can only help given the circumstances
There is a page within the management software that allows you to enable and to disable applications that are running, maybe something you did made them all turn off.
I currently use an EEE 1005HA-P, it was 380 new on Newegg, It's been fantastic so far, next time I get a chance I'll hook it up to an external display and tell you how it goes.
in all reality to get what you want it would be SO much cheaper to go external
But, that being said it does make sense to cover your bases, at least you didn't go to bestbuy and ask a million sales guys.
If you still need recommendations just post
I don't know of a list, but the only software that can do this is the OS as far as I know, though virus scan's and stuff like steam or programs with auto-up daters might also be the cause.
Do you have some reason to believe that you downloaded a virus?I trust AVG with my scans.
Also someone may have just changed the privileges of your account, check to make sure that isn't the case.
Also, reboots are always a good idea.
