    How Do I burn movies?

I really don't care, just stating the obvious. And I would rather the MPAA RIAA and all those other organizations would just dry up and blow away, but the law is the law. But you know what dirtyD? It's people like you and your attitude that made me leave the first time. So screw you! Last...

    Help - computer wont boot

Did it give you any error beeps when it tried to reboot. Are there any messages that you can remember. What were you doing the last time you had your system on? Did it just shut down by it's self? Any additional information would be nice.

    Future Build

I have been trying to put a i7 system together for a couple of weeks now. I have been able to get it around $1200. Thats with a i7 920 and a 4870 gpu and 3 gigs of ram + all the other things like 2 hard drives and a PSU, but does not include an OS. You also might look at this...

    How Do I burn movies?

At the start of every movie released on DVD it states that it is illegal to copy it. The ability to create copies of the media you've purchased for personal use is a long-accepted facet of the fair-use doctrine in U.S. copyright law (at least, it used to be). However, the Digital Millennium...

    New computer, few questions.

Honestly? Run away from both of those if you want to play those games at max settings. If you want a serious system for gaming you really are going to need to spend more. Here is the cheapest system that is running a new Intel i7 chipset I have seen...

    Universal Remote/Control Panel

I use the logitech 550. But I am not very fond of it. The screen is WAY to small and is poorly back lit, and it has poor button layouts. But otherwise it works very well. You install some software on your computer, plug in a usb cord and tell the software what equipment you have and how you...

    Power Supply Question

If you read in the specs for the card it says it needs 450 watts for a single card. But it also depends on what CPU you are running and how many amps that is taking up. But it should be fine. "PCI Express based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard 450...

    random computer shut down ?

That's what my wife's system did, just rebooted with no warnings. Replacing the power supply fixed it. There are also cheap PSU testers you can buy ($20 or so). I have one, but it did not tell me what was wrong with my wifes PSU, since it was an intermittent problem.

    random computer shut down ?

It might be a number of things, over heating, bad power supply, bad ram. Does it give you any system faults before it shuts down? Just recently my wifes system would just reboot for no reason, I replaced her power supply and it has worked since with no problems.

    Weakest Link

It depends on what you want to spend, for example you could replace your aging cpu with a faster one, maybe the E7300 for $120 from newegg would be a cheap choice that would make a huge difference. It ups your FSB from 800mhz to 1066mhz That motherboard should handle that chip. But if that's to...

1st build did not boot need your help

A cpu will always just fall into place, If you have to force it at ALL its installed wrong. Make sure that the arrows on the cpu and the motherboard are lined up. Now if your talking about when you closed the cpu lever and you heard it snap when you locked it, then thats ok. Also, take a...

    computer for mom...

Photo editing is best done on a large monitor, a laptop would not be a good option in my opinion. Working with a couple pixles at a time would really suck on a small 15 to 17 inch laptop monitor. I know because I used to have a 17 inch monitor and it was a pain to do hi res photo restoration on it.
