Do I need Service Pack 3?

Think my laptop died, any hope in fixing it?

you could try pressing something like Fn + F8 to get it to display on the external screen. Usually when it hasn't got the actual drivers it will do displaying on either screen or both as a clone.

what's the model number of your motherboard? the best way to find out is to go to the motherboard manufacturers website (or somewhere that sells it) and check on there what the maximum ram is it can take, and the maximum per slot as well.

    I need printer

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8000, that's pretty cheap on ink cartridges and you can print double sided, you can even have it on your network rather than plugged into your computer (if you get the right version) Though it is colour printer (may or may not be useful)

I'm not sure you can. It's acrobat reader that opens it inside your browser as a kind of a plug-in for it, so I'm not sure if you can get it to open in the seperate window.

    Using same OS twice?

it's not legal to do so, as you need a seperate license per computer. it's not something we talk about on here. you can install it but not activate it so it will only work for 30 days, so you need another license.

    Linux or Vista?

Linux is good for programming as you can host multiple different things on your machine rather than having to uplaod to somewhere and its all very flexible, however, if you're looking for gaming then you'll be looking for windows, to which I would recommend waiting for 7 to be released, rather...
