Along time ago, around 4-6 years ago, I saw this laptop that was around 9" that was a toshiba. Back then of course it was called a laptop because the word netbook did not exsist. Here is the specs and looks, It was quite heavy if I can rerember.

i agree with magichater get a external cd drive. ive never owned one but i am gonna get a netbook and at pc world the guys let me plug in a external drive and it worked perfectly, of course that drive an't from ebay but still it works.

it dont matter any more, it was because it was a cheap tesco one, i brought a logitech v220 laptop mouse today working fine, so there is nothing wrong with drivers etc. its that i brought a cheap tesco one :) thanks for your help.
