Hardly, the chip that generates the heat is a 45nm one, wich runs cooler than the one of the original 360 (wich is a 90nm one if i'm not mistaken.) and with a smaller casing, there's less ducting needed to get the air where it needs to be, so less resistance = cooler. :P

I would never ever flash a bios using a program running in the OS. always one of those programs that runs before the OS actually starts.
