    Graphic Card performance Problems...

They didn't suggest for people to go out and buy anything. They just stated what is required if you want to be able to play the game to its full potential. Turn on a bit of AA and watch your framerate turn to dust.

    Graphic Card performance Problems...

60fps has been the benchmark for quite a while now in FPS games. Taken from Techspot.... Well, we have good news and bad news: Crysis 3's visuals have far exceeded our expectations, but you won't be able to enjoy them on max without investing in some serious hardware. For starters, you'll...

    Graphic Card performance Problems...

60FPS is widely regarded as the number to achieve for smooth gameplay in FPS games (hence the reason the bit-tech article you linked to mentioned it)..... "Those disappointed by Crysis 2’s lack of hardware demand at launch can feel thoroughly vindicated by Crysis 3. It’s ready from the get-go...

    Graphic Card performance Problems...

The irony is that the article that you have linked to clearly states in the conclusion that Crysis 3 is a high end GPU slayer. A game like Crysis requires at least a constant 50-60fps to be considered smooth.

    Graphic Card performance Problems...

Crysis 3 is a GPU killer. In order to play the game with max settings at decent resolution, you will need at least two top end cards with 4Gb Vram or more. A single 7970 is not up to the task as you have found from your experience.

    Get your gear out!

There are some nice images being posted by board members in this section of the forum, so I thought it would be interesting to see what gear everyone is using. I will start off with my photography equipment (the 14-24 is with Nikon, having its service).... Left to right: - D800 + SB-700...

    Any news on nvidia 7xx?

I can only speak from my own experience, but the drivers were up to date. You obviously have more friends than me though, so I won't argue. In any case, 2GB is never wise for 1600p unless you are happy to turn features off.

    Any news on nvidia 7xx?

I know a bloke who was running 560 SLI, but he sold both cards, due to what he decribed as "hideous microstutter issues". He is currently running 580 SLI with no problems at all.

    Any news on nvidia 7xx?

The memory would be a bottleneck. It was when I was running tri SLI 580's. Oodles of power but it was useless, because I couldn't crank the textures/AA due to memory limitations. It was supreme for benching though.
