    Thinking of Powerline for networking

Hey, I wasn't sure where to put this. Hopefully the mods will move it to the right place if it isn't here. I am now renting a room, and the house only has Internet downstairs. W--Fi is the obvious way to go but the room is in back of the house up stairs and long way from the router so...

    LiveTech service

Hi John, Thanx, but I don't really understand. I have Cyberdefender antivirus software, and I am happy with it. It initially removed some stuff, and since then it has done what it was billed as doing - running in the background poping up only when some malware was trying to infect my...

    LiveTech service

I don't know if this is really for this section or the security section, since the LiveTech service is offered by Cyberdefender which is antivirus software, but it is about computer repair so I thought I would put it here. I found this article in PC Mag about the LiveTech service...

Free firewall for antivirus and outbound protection?

I know that Windows comes with a firewall, which I have never really done anything with. I recently found this overview of firewalls on ZoneAlarms site: http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en-us/firewall/good-firewall.htm They clearly know there stuff, so I am thinking about getting their...

    Anyone Heard of Cyberdefender??

I would have to disagree. I have used Cyberdefender for the past year and have nothing but great things to say. I love the 24/7 tech support!!! They have answered everything from small questions regarding the software to questions about why I can't get my router and Wii to work together...

    Best anti-virus test

I have used the technical support a few times and they are always super nice and helpful. Also, they will answer general computer questions too, not just as they pertain to Cyberdefender. I have had nothing but a great experience with Cyberdefender.

    iPhone GPS

That's what I was afraid of. I thought it would be much too hard to use as the driver. Plus since I am less than stellar at directions, the turn by turn assurance would be best for me I think. Thanks so much for the input!

    Best anti-virus test

I have battled several viruses this year and used a few free anti-virus, trojan and spyware programs. Kinda got tired of it all. I talked to my friend who work with computers all the time about it, and he said he would do a test. So he got several free anti-virus programs and installed...

    iPhone GPS

Is the iPhone GPS as good as they say, or would it be more beneficial to get a Tom Tom or Garmin? I would typically only use it in the car, so would it even be safe to try to use the iPhone in that setting?
