Why don't you skip ATI and just get the 9800GTX. I'd personally never want to change from NVidia to ATI. Even though with their HD Radeon 4870 X2 ahead of the 295 GTX, I'd still stick with NVidia.

I'd say go with the 9800GT. It's a strong card. I've seen framerates of the 9600GT and well it's under 30 on Crysis.

I'd say switch to NVidia. They release much better cards faster. I'd say settle for an 8800GT if you wanna be for another year. If you want, you could settle a $350 budget one an 9800GTX... you need to have a 12cm fan to keep it cool.
