    Air cooling for AM3+

I'm about to upgrade my computer with the FX-4100 and I would like something that works a little better than the stock cooler. Newegg hasn't seemed to update their site yet and added am3+ to the list of sockets. I'm not sure what is compatible. It also needs to fit in an Antec 300 case.

    dvd ripping

After reading some of the posts about this subject I had to post. Why don't they go after the people actually sharing content instead of making it illegal to create your own media computer? I have a very small apartment so all my DVD's are in boxes in my closet. It is very stupid that...

    Help with Mac

A friend of mine recently used a macbook with OS X to create some kind of backup on her external drive. Now neither mine nor her regular computer recognizes the drive. The macbook I think recognizes it as the backup program and not really a drive. I say I think because I don't know what a drive...

I've never bought an OEM version and was wondering if I really had to use the OPK to install it.

    Advice on media computer

How does the motherboard not fit? They are both micro atx and the case will fit 9.6 x 9.6 and the mother board is 9.6 x 7.87. I'm not saying you are wrong I'm just wondering how you came up with that conclusion. I really like that case and am willing to spend the money on it. I really want...

    Advice on media computer

Well by full version I just mean not an upgrade and if I get another motherboard down the line I can still use it. That case I think is still a little too large though I did find one that I really like, just not sure if I want to spend that much...

    Advice on media computer

I am going to build a media computer where I can have all my movies and music and hooked up to my tv in the living room and need a few questions answered. The only thing it will be used for is movies and music. I want it to be small and quiet yet stay cool. Could I just use on board video? If...

    Power Supply (PSU) Tech Guide

How about a who makes what guide. You could list a good, better, best list of the actual makers then the next list would have for example XFX=Seasonic or whatever the case may be. At least for the ones that have all their stuff made by the same company then go from there. Sound like a good idea?

    Water Cooling!

I dont know much about water cooling but if it attaches to the cpu then yes you do. Between cpu and any heatsink there is always little tiny gaps and since air is not very heat conductive the thermal paste transfers the heat quickly and efficiently to the heat sink.

    Laptop Advise

Also I'm not sure if I will actually be able to have an address to get something shipped to me. Is there any store better than others to get high end laptops? I'll be in north central to west Texas area. Oh and I could afford 2k possibly 2500 if need be.

    Laptop Advise

I've always built my own desktops and know next to nothing about laptops except they cost alot more to get the same thing on desktop. That being said with my new job I am about to start, carrying around a desktop with me would be a huge pain. I am going to be making alot of money and I have no...

    Help building a computer.

SSD's are insanely fast, you would really only need to get a 60gb-120gb depending on how many games you play. Just put the OS and your games on it and put all you music/movies etc.. on a storage drive. Then again I wouldn't cut back on anything else to get it though. You can always add it later...
