The drivers are already installed. Without the extension cable I.E. hooked up normally it shows as Acer at 1920 x 1080 . Perhaps do you mean put the extension cable in and install drivers again?

I have a Acer-X223HQ monitor and it's resolution is 1920 x 1080. My problem is, when I attach a VGA extension lead from the monitor to the VGA Cable to the Computer it changes the screen resolution and name of the monitor to 'generic non-pnp monitor'. No input is available above 1024 x 768...

I tired to clone the disk using Acronis but when I need to pick a source disk my Local C Drive isn't there, it's only the other two data drives... Any ideas? Loooks like this is a winnner if I could get this.

Sounds ideal and what I'm looking to do. I guess I could backup the OS to the empty HDD. However, How would you go about recovering the system if the C Drive failed and you wanted to use the backup image? Thanks!

Through ASUS I've managed to install the Audio Driver, and Chipset. However, I still have no sound, the multimedia audio controller doesn't have a driver, I presume this is the problem but I don't know what to install as I thought the Audio Driver (SoundMax) would have taken care of this for me.

Windows 7 disc is burned, the HP recovery disk is the original disc. When I attempt to boot from either disc, I can hear the CD/DVD Drive going but then it just stops and it boots from HDD....Maybe I should press something to see.

No, I look into it, it displays the CD/DVD Drive as an upgrade bay, it does display USB CD Drive and other USD, but it's minaly Notebook Upgrade Bay and Notebook HDD. Possibly the disk but I tried the e HP recovery disk which came with the laptop and that never worked either.

Good idea in theory but sadly that never worked either!
