    sound card essential

also, since all the circuitry is on the motherboard, on board audio is more susceptible to noise created by other nearby circuits. in most cases you wont notices or there wont be any, but it can happen.

    Old Pc

an Athlon XP 2600 wont run at 2.6ghz. it actually runs at 1.91ghz, so you are fine. the 2600 is an equivlency to a intel chip. the difference is in pipeline length and basically, it is because the chips are different.

The best way to dust the inside of the pc?

i take the vacuum and place it just above the case, then spray the canned air in the direction of the vacuum, so that whatever dust it kicks up, it gets sucked right into the vacuum, but i dont stick the vacuum hose in the case itself.

asus laptops are pretty nice, my friend has an asus lappy from about the same era as mine, lets just say that mine pales in comparison to his, plus he says it has dealt with its fair share of abuse.

    can you close screen?

no, laptops are designed to be closed when on, they have a switch that works with the lid. by default they hibernate when you close the lid, but you can change this in the control panel.
