how can i make my computer faster, and that the comp plays games faster doesnt load long ect.
Try getting rid of programes you dont use, also try a defrag.
For your games check out your graphics card.
There are lots of people on here who can help you.
How much memory does your system have? What version of windows are you using? What processor do you have?
windows version is windows xp
well local disc has 16 gb free space total size 149 gb
eh, how do i ceack processor
Click "Control Panel" then "System Properties"
Memory as in ram, not hard drive space. You can check basic information about your computer by going to system properties, or my computer > right click > properties.
If you the game load faster, use SSD but that cost insanely expensive per GB at the moment...
Memory is not disk space. Right click on "my computer" icon and click on properties. On the general tab, it will show you how much ram(memory) is installed and what processor you are using.
Wow, 3 posts by 3 different people at the same time.
CPU 2.80Ghz 2.79 Ghz, 1.24 GB of RAM
Your system specs look good, you may need to do some system maintenance, like defrag, delete temp files, uninstall programs you don't use, stop any programs from running at bootup. Or depending on how long you've had the system it may be time for a fresh install cause windows can become corrupted over time. Have you done and virus or malware scans lately?
To add to what John has said I think adding another 1 Gig memory stick would help especially if you have onboard graphics. Even if you have a dedicated graphics card I still think your RAM might hold you back.
well, i dit do scans lately
Personally I use the following free programs to keep my computer in great shape:
2. Advanced Systemcare Free
You can download them and run them at least once a week to help maintain your computer's speed.
avoid all the unused programs and stop not using exe process from task manager. and remove all the temporary file from ur computer.
