Microsoft VX-3000 And Lifecam Software 2.04 = Angry Asian

Alright so i found out there was a newer version of Lifecam. I was given lifecam 1.4 and i hated it. So i check the website just yesterday and apparently there is a 2.04 version out. So I Installed it and now my webcam won't work on the program. The program runs but it says it cannot detect my webcam. Then i click the X to x out and i get an application error reading


"The instruction at "0x20bf323" referenced memory at "0x000002c0". The memory could not be "read".

What should i do? I've tried googling the error codes and I got nothing.

Tried reinstalling the software 3 times and still no luck.

I'm running on Windows XP SP3

Hmm..., is this a new camera? That seems like a pretty old model to me. You might be having a software conflict with the new software available and the older hardware. Best option would be to do a little digging on MS's help and support website.

BTW, what was it that you hated about the webcam?
