I’m having problems downloading the new definitions windows defender from the net. My spybot tells me I have aborted the scan when I haven’t. My computer has all of a sudden developed far more cookies than I normally get. Registry changes have been made but i’m not doing that. The avg free comes up with nothing what should I do my free trial of both spy sweeper and ewido just ran out. Also it’s tried to download the definitions from “other sources according to Microsoft.com it has tried around 8 times today to get them & every time I do it says installation successful but they never appear.

Here my hijack

Download Avenger from here:
http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/

Open the program. Check the 'Input script manually' option.
Click the Magnifying Glass icon.
In the box that opens, paste this:

Files to delete:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\gtek\gtupdate\aupdate\channels\channels.ini

and click 'Done'

Click the Traffic Light icon to start the program, and OK the prompts to reboot your PC.

Post the Avenger output.txt, which you can find at C:\Avenger\.txt

Did you paste this?

Files to delete:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\gtek\gtupdate\aupdate\channels\channels.ini

If you did, it's not there and most likely a false positive. What is it that keeps finding this?
