Dirt 2 Lagging like crazy

Hey guys i just picked up Dirt 2 along with a sapphire radeon 5770 card and its lagging like crazy, anybody have ideas as to why??

Which drivers are you using? Try a reboot, i had that problem once, each time i laucnhed the game the performance was worse, i just rebooted and it went away.

Newest catalyst version is 10.8:

I downloaded 10.8 and then did a reboot after it finished installing and still lagging. and quite a bit too

No idea why you are getting Lagg with a machine like that dirt 2 ran perfect for me from the first run on max settings. Maybe try a re-intsall

The system requirements are pretty taxing, but I've seen videos of Dirt 2 playing at medium/high DX11 settings with a HD5670? What settings? ^^^

probably not a high resolution and no AA though.

all fixed thanks guys just toyed with a few settings and a few reboots and no more lag
