Cod2 Good COmputer Bad FPS

Hello all..

i have good computer ;:

Ram : 2gb
Video card :9500gt nivida (Updated with the nivida softwares), ram of video card : 1gb
windows xp sp3 - pentium (R) 4
CPU 3 3.00 GHz 2.99 GHz

~~~ Internet : Download 4 MB , UPloading : 0.47 mb
Thats Exactly wht i have , and my fps is 40-70. Sometimes it go to 140 but often its 40-70..!! and with computer i should have 300+ !! please help mee;(!!

40-70Fps would be about right for COD2 on that spec of computer i think.

Btw the 9500GT is not a great card at all if your into gaming...its more of a low end,suitable for Htpc.

9500GT is ~ 8600GT performance, which although is dated now, and the 9500GT isn't a gaming card, that is more than enough to max CoD2.

I would say it is down to the processor more than the graphics card.

And no, your system shouldn't have anywhere near 300FPS on it, what you said is absolutely right for your specs, and they aren't exactly bad fps you are getting either
 
I second that. There is no real need to seek an fps above 60. I can tell you from playing wow were my fps varied from 40 to nearly 200. After 60, you see no difference
