Help! better graphics card lower FPS

OK as the title says, i used to have 2.5GHz quad core CPU and a HD 4550 graphics card, i would get around 150FPS and i would not be able to run any other games like Mafia 2 would be very low fps. I now have a new graphics card, the HD 5750 and i can play dead space 2 on very high black ops on extra high, even crysis in very high, but please explain to me... how am i now getting 40-50 fps on counter strike source??? exactly the same config/settings i have tried changing the config to a fps config and i have tried every single setting on low and it makes absolutely no difference, also my drivers are up to date
uninstalled and updated again, i have tried previous drivers also, still did not fix it :S
 
You got 150FPS in counterstike source with previous setup while other games weren't playable? Are you sure about that? This is not something that can explained..

Yes I am very sure lol i have tried everything and nothing seems to work really beginning to annoy me :S
