Ok i posted this before and before anyone replies i would just like to say that i have tried highest settings, lowest settings and the settings that is recommended for my hardware, tried fps configs, no configs, overclocking, absolutely everything now please explain why i am getting lower FPS (Around 100) on a 2.5GHz Quad Core CPU and XFX 5750 graphics card when i used to use a 4550 low profile graphics card with all other hardware the same and i used to get 150+ FPS but other games were not playable such as mafia 2 and borderlands etc. but now i can play borderlands, mafia 2, crysis and pretty much every other game i have on high to very high settings with now lag! please explain or give me some more suggestions to try :confused::confused::confused::confused:

Did you uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones and the new card?
yep i have tried older drivers and also tried formatting PC then installing newer drivers just to make sure everything was gone before reinstalling new drivers.

What power supply do you have?
At the moment i have only 400W and i thought that may have been the problem but like i said other games that are much more demanding seem to work perfect on highest settings, also my friend bought exactly the same card as me and his PC has the same specs and he only had a 330W PSU and was getting higher FPS than me with my 400W. i have tried different configs re-installing CSS, i am running out of ideas

What brands were those PSUs? A 330W SeaSonic will be better than a Sunbeam 400W any day of the week.

Download MSI afterburner from here:

http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

Open it up and open up task manager too (right click your clock in the bottom right and click task manager) and click the processes tab.

Go to play your game for a bit, so long as it lags, it has done what you need. Close the games, and look at the graphs. 1 of your memory, CPU or video usage should be pinned at 100%, see which one it is, and that is the source of your woes
