hey i got counter strike source non steam (dont worry i have it on steam) just that i got tired of steam screwing me over, but i need to know what the VERY LATEST patch is cuz i need to install it in order to play online. thanx!

I'm pretty sure non-steam CS:S is a modified version of the program violating their TOS.

ya like i said, i have it on steam, its just that i wanted to get on some servers my friend was suggesting, but can only be accessed by the non steam version. sorry if i'm breaking forum rules, but if you ask me, doesn't sound really bad cuz i have the game on steam anyways.

There are no legit servers that require you to have a non-legit copy of the game, what you are attempting to do is, as epidemik says, against Valve's TOS, and as there is no legal way to obtain a non-steam version of the game, it is also against the law to obtain or share such a copy. You are, however, able to join non-steam (cracked) servers with a legitimate account

I suggest that you and your friend support valve, support the server hosting companies, support the gaming communities and support the gaming industry as a whole by playing the official game on official, legitimate servers
