Black ops lost ALL my stats!

Ok, so I connected to a server and immedietly got kicked for no reason (I just entered the game); so I was back at the main menu and I went to change my class only to find it's locked!

I look at my playercard at its back at level 1!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'd give more info but I have no idea what caused this, does anyone have a fix for this or is it just some horrendous bug?
Specs in sig, and I have a steam version of the game.
 
Well I am no expert but last I checked they stored those files client side (least for MW/2 they did) did you by chance format? If so they might be why and it would explain why you got kicked. I would email support immediately though.
 
This is a known problem with black ops don't worry though cause your stats usually come back within a day.
 
Touch wood i have not had the problem and have never heard of it before.You were not kicked for team kills were you plus some servers kick you so that there own clan can play.

No, they weren't. WaW and all previous CoD games stored the profiles locally, but like MW2, BLOPs is stored on the Steam cloud, so even if you log in on another computer with your account without having ever played BLOPs or Mw2, it will immediately put you to whatever your rank is, because it retrieves it from the Steam servers
 
Ok, now it bumped me from level 40 to level 18, back to level 40, and down again to level 16; sent them an email. They really need to patch this.
 
They have really needed to patch since release. The game is still yet to be in a fully functioning condition. It has only been 6 months :)
