how do i patch GTA IV from 1.0.0.0?

hey i have gta iv, on version 1.0.0.0 and i can't patch it! first i get these files from Rockstar games and it crashes on loadup and it dosent start at all, it crashes on the command startup. here is the url i got it from: http://support.rockstargames.com/en...-7-0-english-1-0-6-1-russian-1-0-5-2-japanese
and i open the title update 1st one and it say it installed fine but it just crashes please help!

Is this a bought retail game, as GFWL should automatically update it iirc.

Yes I bought it in store, I want to know how to install it and we're to get the real patch
