Won't be happening. Sorry. You can build a decent gaming desktop that will game for that much though.

Can't change a video card in a laptop. Buy a gaming laptop or build your own desktop. The only feasible upgrades to a laptop are HDD and RAM. Neither of which are going to help.

false. MXM slots are in some laptops. MXM is AGP (1.0), PCIe (2.0-4.0) in a standardized socket. I upgraded/replaced the GPU in my M90 here when I got it (had a malfunctioning fx1500m, company shipped it with a replacement fx2500m and install was easy). there has been a few people around the forum here that upgraded alienware laptops GPUs. Some are not though.

OP, you can not. Your GPU in integrated into the northbridge of your motherboard. HD4200 is as high as you can go, anything higher would be useless with a sempron processor.

^This, there are some laptops that have what's commonly called "dedicated graphics cards" meaning that you can swap them out with better cards but its hard to find them honestly.

not really. Quadro and Quadro FX, mobility Firepro, GTX260m+, GTX460m+, GTX560m+, HD5830m+, HD6870m+ are 9 times out of 10 MXM upgradable cards.

Ha ha, I have that cheap piece of junk laptop to. No upgrading on that. 420 pounds for this. Can do some light gaming.http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Quad-C...1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1333433622&sr=1-3

Personally I've been able to acquire GT 555m with i7 2.0+ghz laptops for around £400-500 off of ebay in perfect condition, so in my opinion, your best bet would be to just be patient and keep your eyes on the laptops at ebay.

I ended up getting a 2.4 dual core, 4200m graphics for just under £100 which I used as my work computer, which can run wow and sc2 on lowered graphics like a dream, so as you can tell it's worth waiting!
