Now theres nothing wrong with this one ive got,The picture quailty is great,However the space it takes up on my desk isnt:o

I have a few questions about these Flatscreen monitors.....

1.Will the image quality still be as good as Crt monitors?

2.Will text be hard to read?

3.Could you recomend me one for around £130-150 ($278.299 USD)

Thanks

I just went from a 17" CRT flat to a 19" LCD panel, wow was I blown away!

My LCD's image quality is pretty nice, and it was a dirt cheap one too, $99! (£53) If I look really closely at the monitor, I can see how the quality might not be as good as a CRT's, but it's heck of alot brighter and easier on the eye. No, txt will not be hard to read running at native res, unless you have a really crappy monitor

3) What website do you need it from?

Hi diduknowthat,

Im actualy not gonna buy online...I just showed you the one on link so you know what kind im looking at.

Are they good for playing games on?

I went from a 21"CTS to a 19"LCD.. and i wish the CRT didnt die :(
on the LCD, the single pixels are much more visible than on the CRT (at the same resolution) wich is pretty annoying.
also.. i'd live to play some games on the 2048x 1600 resolution.. but thats a different story. :)

8ms response time or lower should be good. Mine LCD has 8ms response and i can't really see any ghosting.

Mine is 12ms or 8ms ( i know its one of those.. but i honestly dong know wich one.. :o )... and it hasnt ghosted so far,. ( even in the old UT it didnt ghost :) )

With LCD's you get what you pay for, remember that. A Samsung 1600x1200 20.1" Widescreen with 5ms GTG, 300cd, and 1000:1 contrast is going to look beautiful. It also smaller pixels. It will blow you away, which si why I want it!:)

That said, It's also like almost 300 dollars. You can get a Hanns-G 1440x900 19" LCD that has like 300+ reviews of GOOD on Newegg for less then 200 shipped. Or you can get a quality Samsung 17" for about 190 shipped. So, what do you do?

You get what you pay for, just remember that.

Thanks people,

Im gonna look around computer stores over the weekend and take a look at what they have.
They usualy have a demonstration model on show switched on so i can see how they look:)

Hey that looks a good one is the 3 Years Warranty included in that price?

111.62 including Vat.

Are Acer a good company?

Thanks Jimmy:)
