Hey all,
I'm looking to purchase a new racing game. i've always been a fan of the Need for Speed series, but I'm looking for something more realistic. Also, this is for a PC. Does anyone have any suggetions?

Thanks,
Mako

Toca Race Driver  Wow, What a game!

You want realism!

Race Driver is probably the most realistic out there. I got race driver 2, but the copy protection is causing some odd problems on my new machine...

There's also Live For Speed which is pretty good. More realistic overall, but the graphics aren't as nice.

yes it does, at least on ps2.

i have toca 2 and 3, and they're both amazing games

they both actually have a clutch, have realistic engine damage, and toca 3 has everything from go-karts, to baja buggies, to formula one

soooooo much fun

I had Toca 3 for PS2, How hard was the clutch man! I know it sounds easy but it aint!

Yeah, It has a cockpit view and the sounds are amazing, the car engine and then somebody shunts you from behind it sounds so real! Especially the touring cards :P

wait until march 22nd.. Test drive unlimted comes out. That is an AMAZING game.. and AMAZING graphics~!!..I got to play it for about a week while testing it.. it is a keeper.

other than that. GTR 2 is a realistic game but not a whole lot of fun. if your into nascar alot of them are very very realistic. nascar racing 2003 is the best, it was the last year papyrus made it.. then they sold the rights to the name to EA.. thunder 2004 is a prety good game as well as sim racing 2005.. but they need to make a new one.

live for speed is very very realistic and fun.. but not the best graphics.

I have playd toca 3.. I did not like it.. it moved so so fast felt like you were going 150mph all the time and the road came at you so so fast. , very unrealistic IMO..

So do I!!! Dude, the power needed to use that thing (24v!!!!!!!!) is huge! Compared to most house hold items...great wheel. I use it on flat out. I want flat out 2, but, eh, dont have them money right now..

I'm planning to pick up both actually. My Nintendo Wii can wait a couple more weeks:P

I've played my fair share of Nascar games, but they're so basic compared to other racing games. I mean, why drive around a circle when I can drive around a cool track with lots of space and variety.

Lately I've been playing Live for Speed. I've spent so much time driving around listening to loud music in windows media player. I use the 360 controller, but I'm eventually gonna buy a wheel when I come across a good deal somewhere. The game is good and realistic and everything, but it lacks the technical polish of the bigger company games. I can't wait to see what Toca 3 is like:D

I never heard of Toca...and I dont like NAS Car...they just go zoom in an oval...

I was never a fan of Nascar either until I played 2005 on PS2. You gotta have some serious skill to keep up with the draft at Daytona never mind even trying to pass someone. Seriously, go rent it if you can find it and you'll see what I'm talking about.

i use the momo as well

it's a really comfortable wheel, but imo, nothing compares to the 720 degree gran turismo 4 wheel for ps2.

That thing is JUST like driving a real car.

I wish there was a way to use it for my computer.

the up coming GT5HD for ps3 looks amazing. and the other like flatout or burnout all looks pretty nice. but how ever I really dont like driving in a race track. street racing such a nfs is my type of racing :O.

that toca race driver sounds quite good i also have been looking for a realistic racing game which i can play on my PC
