Best offline games.

I need to know the best game that I can play off line...
On a laptop.
Here are the specs.
C2D 2.0GHZ
7900gs
2gb ram

Ill be plugged into an outlet. But wont have wireless connectivity.
If the game offers online activity, thats great, then I can play them while not at work.

Cant I play css off line, with a created server, and bots?



I already have oblivion.

If you like strategy, Civilization 4 and the expansion Warlords. Can't tell you how much time I've spent on that game, in fact I'm going to go play it here in a few minutes... :)
 
If you enjoy Diablo II-esque game, might try Titan Quest (has an expansion as well now - Immortal Throne) or Dungeon Siege II (again, expansion out - Broken World). Granted, neither game will win awards for Oblivion-style graphics, but just have fun :)

YES GET RCT2 It's soooooo cOOOLLL :D

Anyway I great way to waste time on a offline game is to buy a strategic game like AOE, Stronghold, Command and Conquers or if you like to manage things, get RCT2 or any tycoon games :D They're great :)
 
I'm surprised no one has recommended Sim City 4, you can buy the whole game with the expansion for like...20 bucks maybe? Great game, if you like sims

Also The Sims..GREAT!
