To Cathode or Not?

Call me a plain jane sort of guy or whatever, but I really just don't like these cases with flashy leds and stuff that can light up a whole room. Call me modest? I guys I don't like to showcase my computer. If you are heartset on getting cathodes, blue would probably look the nicest.
 
I'm not in dire need to get some, I just thought they'd look cool, I'm ordering a new keyboard and for only £3 ($6) I could get some, so I wasn't thinking why not...

They wouldn't flash or anything, I just think that they'd light it up a little inside, I don't know...
 
Black cathodes, what do they look like?

Anybody got any pictures of cathodes in a case, so I can see what they look like and how they affect the lighting in a room, please?
 
I'll only be getting two 12" cathodes, I'll have the invertor tucked away in the HDD cage and run the wires along the case window so they're out of sight.

wierd way to place those lol

i had four orange ones in an old case and it goes int a square position
 
Kornowski- i really only turn them on at night, and they really arent that distracting, but a great way to light up my keyboard when its dark.

Kof- i would have them placed normally, but the cables are pretty short and the sides or my case are limiting, so this was teh best setup i could find.

thats what came into my mind tbh..wether they would be annoying,Especialy where you have your case by your monitor danny.
like they would be too bright or something:cool:

okay what i would do is just get one of them and stick it right up the top of the case so the light shines down OR at the side like where ive put the lines,But inside obviusly behind the metal on the case window but the part you cant see.

Yeah, I get what you mean, but you have to buy them in pairs... and I don't know if they come with a switch, for me to turn them on and off?

I also don't know if I have room along the top of the case, I do along the bottom and side, I'd have to take a proper look :)

Nah UV light is dimmer if anything. The cool thing about them is that if you UV reactive fans, cables, etc then they appear to light up as well.
