I just played Crysis SP Demo...

Hello guys, i just wanted to say that I just played the Crysis demo and i found it really really good. The gameplay is just amazing, you can grab almost anything in the environment including breaking a branch off a tree and throwing it! And no words for the graphics. My pc could only run it at low settings though BUT with no slowing problems, perfectly smooth, so thanks 7600GT! (i wonder how good it will be with my future 8800GTS...) Also i did not have any driver nor installation problems.

Thats all guys, just wanted to give you guys a quick comment.
BTW: Crysis is now a must for computer gamiers IMO ;)
 
It's an interesting game, but I got bored with it fast. It is just another FPS shoot em up game. Nothing really new about the concept.

But it did install really nice and ran smooth. But then again I got bored with the bioshock demo as well. I hated you could not save a game and had to restart each time you started. After about the 3rd time, I deleted it.

If you haven't ordered the gts yet...don't. Get an 8800gt instead (better performance, and cheaper).
 
You'll have to keep a sharp eye out for the 8800gt, as it is a much better value cost to performance, but it's a hot item, they're going out of stock like nobodies business.

As for the Crysis demo, i agree with Paratwa. Same ol', same 'ol. It's tightened beyond measure though, so it's the best type of reiterence. Not my box of Cheese-its though.

I know, it's great, first thing I did when I picked up some grenades, SAVE! :D
 
hmm.. I play on 1280x1024, with everything set to high except shader quality and postprocessing quality :( when I turn those up, it'll start lagging

Arc, I played around with the settings to try and get the best results, I ran it at 1280 x 1024 with them turned down for a while... but then I put them on and it lagged, so I turned the res down.

Try it :)
 
Okay... I played for about 2 hours, and didn't beat it. It's amazing. Definitely going to buy it...

You aint completed it? Wow, it's awesome, the end of the demo is amazing, thats what makes me want to buy it! :D

Just trying that DX10 thing now, I'll post screens if it works :D

I know right?! the end is very suspenseful, i thought the demo would keep going :( lol

btw, im running in 1440x900 (yeah weird resolution, hanns lcd monitor). I have a question, whats the difference between the Shadows and the Shaders settings? and what is Postprocessing?

Yeah, I thought the demo would be a bit longer too! :( Still amazing!

The DX10 thing works, it looks great, but take a huger performance hit! :(

You get the 3D waves aswell, they're awesome!
You even get the sun rays through the water :D I'm putting it back to normal though as it was a low FPS :P
