The mouse gives perfect aim and movement speed that you want for a shooter or a stratagy game lets yo pick any pixel you want at any speed. keyboard allows you many keys to asign to any action. I got wireless and laser mouse so I can sit back on the sofa if I want, away from the desk. For the Neo Geo emulator I prefair the game pad as it's hard to play a beat em up or a shootem up with a mouse.
It always depends on the game, especially if it was original made for the console or not........ First Persons will always be keyboard/mouse, racing will always be a gamepad/steering wheel and most console games will always be gamepad prefered.
Much like bumblebee_tuna said, it really depends on the game. However, I've never been too keen on joysticks of any kind(as in analog styled ones) Personally, I prefer digital on/off style things. Like in a racing game, I do better with a keyboard than say an Xbox controller. And in a FPS, I do best with a keyboard/mouse. I'm actually still pretty new on the whole using two joysticks to control your character...
Digital on off controlers are a nightmare for driving games you need analog control for driving full accelerate and full brake get you killed and full turing lock is bad. Best controler I used for driving games was the Namco one for the PS 1 it was anolog and allowed smooth control.
Definately depends on the game. Usually keyboard and mouse.
But for sports, i like game pad.
And if availible, i like steering wheel for fps...JK, for racing games silly.
Of course Halo 3 with the guitar hero controller is interesting .
That makes sense. I've thought about buying the 360 controller to use w/ the PC. However, I'm mainly playing FPS games at the moment, and the gamepad joystick things aren't as good as using the mouse (when aiming/shooting), IMO.
