CRYSIS!! look out video cards!!!

although some may say that a motherboard will effect pc performance, i can say i've never seen any difference in using a cheap motherboard (like PC Chips) or a higher quality one (like asus).

so, as far as i know, nope. the motherboard itself wont matter.
it really only just matters what kind of cpu, what video card, and how much ram you have.
 
Does the motherboard matters when it comes to games like Crysis?
Not really when it comes to gaming. Sure a high end X38 or 680i motherboard will perform better then the ASRock/ECS motherboards that use VIA chipsets, however the big difference is when it comes to overclocking, and tweaking settings from within the BIOS.
 
i wonder how the 2900 xtx 512mb handles it
