Resolution and screen size? Sure would; screen-size a bit more than res (smaller screen, more to fit, compressed graphics/icons), but both could do it. Strange indeed, but so long as everything is working, it's all good:)

very true, but a little annoying because i don't know why it's doing it..... but everything's working good, so no harm no foul.....

It looks like one version is using small icons and the other one is not. Try right clicking on the toolbar, select customize and see if there is a check mark on "small icons".

Or at least one version is using text under the icons and the other is not. That can also be changed in the "customize" menu I mentioned.

I'm curious if one of those things is the issue.

you have helped immensely sir, that was it.... my laptop was set differently than my desktop in the customize section....

i have another ? for you guys, if you don't mind.... now my firefox browser keeps closing and it keeps telling me it's because of the just-in-time debugger.... is there any way to fix this?

I'm glad the customize menu fixed your "problem".

As far as your issue with the just-in-time debugger.... I'm not too sure what a clear solution would be. I checked google here and found this link, but I'm not sure if that will help you.
I would recommend starting a new thread in this forum and call it something like "Firefox crashes due to just-in-time debugger". You'll have a better chance of getting a response rather than using this threads topic "firefox 3".
