"Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly."

In Internet Explorer, open the menu bar and click -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Security Tab and set the security level to Medium-High. This should be the default setting, however, so I'm not sure if that will work.

Or click on the yellow bar on the top of the page and click "Allow" or something like that.

yeah you need to click allow

you dont need to lower the security settings, i mean, server 2003 works fine with windows update and by default it is set to like maxmimum settings

if you run 7 on the sort of pcs xp was originally intended for (those with 384mb or less, it gets quite slow, especially to start up. It uses ~35mb with one tab open, which for these machines is 10%+ of thier ram, compared to like 15-25mb that IE6 uses.

why dont you just download the sp2 installer?

google for the "network administrator" version or something like that, its the one that doesnt need windows update.
