"xp" pro 64 want actually based on xp though
it server 2003 under the hood
also it would have been impractical to have xp on one disk like vista as when xp came out
a) noone had dvd drives.................I did
b) dual layer discs cost $$$.............Even though MCE was 3 cd's, I still think they would have fitted onto a DVD5
c) piracy...............You aint never gonna stop that anyway
That's really funny. I just got Vista 64 with my laptop, and besides those constant "vista needs permission" things I love it.
i need games, windows networking, and ms office / visual studio
so for me linux is not an option

yeah i also had some problems like these.
Linux is not a replacement for windows.I used to use Linux but it doesn't suit my needs.I was doing a small survey at work last time, to start implementing usage of linux desktops, but when i look at the programs they (colleagues) use, or the database they are working on, well linux just don't fit in.
