"xp" pro 64 want actually based on xp though

it server 2003 under the hood

also it would have been impractical to have xp on one disk like vista as when xp came out

a) noone had dvd drives.................I did;)
b) dual layer discs cost $$$.............Even though MCE was 3 cd's, I still think they would have fitted onto a DVD5
c) piracy...............You aint never gonna stop that anyway;)

but I see where you're coming from bud ;)

That's really funny. I just got Vista 64 with my laptop, and besides those constant "vista needs permission" things I love it.

I agree. The idea itself is good but they went OTT. I wonder how many people have actually left that option on.

yeah i also had some problems like these.
Linux is not a replacement for windows.I used to use Linux but it doesn't suit my needs.I was doing a small survey at work last time, to start implementing usage of linux desktops, but when i look at the programs they (colleagues) use, or the database they are working on, well linux just don't fit in.
windows yesterday,today, and widows forever.

I have worked with my stepdad in his offices and his idiot colleagues have no idea how to install fonts. I had the 'opportunity' of explaining to one of the guys on how to install the fonts over the phone. This guy couldn't understand "drag and drop" and proceeded to blame it on Vista, I thought that was funny.

yes but just because someone doesn't understand one small part of an OS, don't make them stoooopid(after all- it's people like this that give me my job to do:D )

It was only yesterday that I discovered how to have sound playing on/in my Dreamscene desktop background video, But that don't make me stoopid ......does it :( ?
