Why would you wanna download a virus. If you are really into killing your OS, search for free wallpapers, wont take long :p

Or maybe he's looking to give someone a virus...

Go to a sketchy pornographic website with IE6, and click "Yes/Allow" to everything.

Offtopic @ Garethman!!', do you really intend on getting 16GB of RAM? I sure hope not...

Actually some of the best ways are to download LimeWire, and search for cd cracks and download files that are .exe's, but have small file sizes (under 1MB usually).

I just received a virus via e-mail, if you want it I'll give it to you. :)

Someone I know ran this, and it caused the computer not to be able to install/remove programs, change desktop settings, access the internet, etc.

This site is intended for educational and / or research purposes. If they discover that you are intentionally there for purposes of a less than honerable nature they will ban and likely report you to your ISP.

http://www.offensivecomputing.net/

There are more than 350,000 copies (and growing) of live malware available for download. Once you downlaod and unpack them your pc is infected!!!

It would be adviseable to have a pc that is not networked (isolated) and is not used for any banking or access to password protected sites.

The site also offers up a variety of tools and discussion groups to help resarch malware and it's effects.

dude, whoever said to use limewire is right. They have tons of files with similiar sizes (usually under 1mb) that are just viruses. Then if you search for: Da vinci (as an example) you'll get some thing that says 'cute teenie orgasm'. And if you mouseover it says "not related to Da Vinci". You can try that :D

lol Cohen,

The downloaded malware is password protected and can't be opened without the password.

They also make sure you are registered before they give you access to the database.

In saying that though this doesn't mean that anyone with a little imagination can't make evil of it all.

This thread might likely be closed very quickly, but anyone wanting to learn first hand about malware by immersing themselves in it... this is the way to do it.
