Google just announced their own open-source web browser: Google Chrome.

Which do you prefer more, by the looks of it?

Ive been converted to IE8 after years with FF. For me its way faster and no need to worry about annoying plugins that dont work.

Been using it today, I like especially the "Create Application Shortcuts", so I have shortcuts on my desktop for Gmail and Greader, that open full screen...that would be great on a laptop!
Interface is clean...imports settings from FF...no adblock though:(
Other than that seems like a nice application:)

Didn't like the fact that they admittted they modelled their tabs after Opera. Also, 9 most visited pages is just a rip of Opera's speed dials. Could Google Chrome be the new M$, while Opera the new Linux, who's driving all the innovations that Google will eventually rip off from?

However, I must applaud their marketting dep. A comic e-book is an original marketting tool, just like how a while ago, you could only get a Gmail account by getting a referral from your buddies.

Who cares. They use what works.
