google chrome due to beta tomorow

Here's my findings currently.

Interface, nice + clean. I like it very much, I'm not a person that needs add-ons or anything, so it's good. I might even use it as my primary browser.

Speed - Comparing it with Firefox, Opera + IE. Chrome seems to be noticeably faster than Opera + Firefox, and definitely faster than IE.

Feel -When you first install, it asks to put all your bookmarks and stuff over from IE, typical of a web browser. You can also import bookmarks and stuff from FF.

There's a most visited place when you open a New Tab, which shows your most visited places. (In my case Facebook, Yahoo etc) When you type in for example, bleeping computer, by the time I enter bleepingcom (bleepingcomputer is already there because of the google search), so it's easier. Also, like every other browser it remembers websites entered.

I like it!

Update, good security. Was visiting some 'fishy' websites to test it out, and it immediately blocked it saying that the site is linked to 'malware' or something, and you have the option or either continuing, or returning back to 'safety' as it says.

I can't really see any advantages of using it over FF at the moment... I guess it looks pretty nice. I haven't noticed much difference in the speed, if any!

I did notice it has about 5 instances of itself running in my Task Manager though!

I tried it out but didn't notice any speed differences. I actually believe IE8 beta was faster... I know, I'm a sinner lol

Yeah, I've heard people finding IE faster than FF (both latest versions), but from my own experience this is what I'm experiencing speed wise.

Chrome - Opera - Firefox - IE

No customization of buttons? Do we have to create a bookmark for our homepage, because I can't find a "home" button...

I'm going back to Firefox until this is out of beta...

I use IE more than FF, FF is over rated by noobs.

slander you speak! :p dont stomp on the toes of FF fans; its a solid browser. plus, true noobs use IE cause they dont know a browser is, mush less that there are alternative browsers like FF:rolleyes:

geez, i need to learn how to multi-quote in one post

A good interface with good performance is nice and all but, does it comply with W3 Standards? When it is released for Mac, I will try it...
