Hey guys,
Right i was running on a 2mb internet connection (yeah i know ) and i phoned my Isp up (Virgin media Uk) to ask them how much it would be to upgrade my service to 10Mb and it was not realy much more than im paying for 2Mb so i went ahead with the upgrade and they said it should be done within 24 hours.
anyway 24 hours passed,i done a speed test on speedtest.net and it was faster but it was only just going over 4mb so i phoned them up AGAIN asking whats going on and a tech came on and said basicly the area we live in has cables down that only support up to 4Mb broadband and has not been done for 10mb yet.
i asked them how long it would be before they do do our area for 10mb and he said its around a months time away.
Now is it me or should they have not sold me the 10mb package if they know very well our areas only currently capable of doing 4mb? Yet they will still charge us for 10Mb even though we can only get 4mb for the time been.
also personaly i cant see our ISP doing our whole area in a month,
what you think?
