Nvidia people are all wrong. ATI has better performance than Nvidia. Its not too much but has better performance. According to Maximumpc.com, they have done a study on both ATI crossfire and Nvidia SLI. The benchmarks pointed out that ATI Crossfire connection has better graphics, quality, and performance that Nvidia SLI.

i'm not sure about price/performance, but crossfire is better than sli (in connection and overall increase, forgot where, but XF is about an 80% increase in perfermance where sli was ~70%

Both are great companies. Nvidia has been the top dog for awhile but I heard that Ati has a surprise for Nvidia, can't wait to see what they have planed to come out.

No offence but this thread is like asking people what they like more tea or coffee. they are both good, which is why i didn't poll.

this will go on forever but if i had to choose who ever has the best card at the best price same with intel and amd if amd have a quad core at £200 and intel have one at £100. then what are amd still better. its all bout personal preference yes they are both good personally Nvidia card look EVIL and ATIs look weak and breakable. ATI too much plastic and not enough carbon fibre (hence carbon fibre makes cars go quicker but plastics lite)

which ones better vista or windows 95se

My prefrence is whatever on has the best performance in my price range. Right now, that happenes to be ati.

Next time I want to upgrade and I see that nvidia now has the best budge/performance card for around $300, ill go with them, then if ati pulls ahead, ill go ati.

Look wise its defintely prefrence. I dont have too many feelings for nvida cards design, but I like the way ati cards look. :p

Oh well, this poll doesnt do to well though, cause it has votes from 4 years ago. If this thread was only made one month ago, who do you think would have more votes?

to be fair this thread was started in "2004" things have changed alot and ati are producing some really good cards now and i think this poll is not showing the truth for todays market!!!

i think if there was an updated "2008" version it would be different

I VOTE FOR NEW POLL!!!!

And you dont really get to ''see'' the card as its top down. You just see the side and sometime can see a little under (depending how high the case is, and if there is a window)

Im actually very sorry for fanboys. They miss out on getting the best

I get whats best ATM and what i can get a good deal for.

Yeah, haha. Ill see my card for about 5mins of opening the package, and putting it in my case. From there, I never see it unless I need to open my case again. :)

Maybe some day ill get a windowed case and load it with lights and care about looks. Probably not though.

I googled about ATi cards drivers and it doesnt look good for ATi especialy their AGP drivers so Im going back to Nvidia their drivers never gave me the same amount of grief ATI gave me.

You do have a point, but unfortunately we can not have both and that applies for graphics cards just as well as coffee or tea. In a perfect world we can get the best of Nvidia and ATi and merge them into one super card...

Nvidia and ATi both have their respective strengths and weaknesses like Nvidia being generally more overclockable but ATi being better value for money. It all depends on what each invididual want or expect to get from a card and that greatly influences their perference. Some people prefer performance at all cost with money being no object, others might want performance but at the optimal price etc etc, that's why this debate will rage on because of people's differing views and personal needs and expectations.
